Jordyn's Mitzvah Day: Basketball, Stage Presence, and a Celebration in Westchester

Scarsdale & White Plains, NY

Jordyn at House of Sports in New York
  • Location House of Sports, Westchester Reform Temple, and Coliseum
  • Season Winter
  • Mood Personal, athletic, and joyful

The strongest mitzvah stories begin before the service itself. They start with personality, with the things that already feel true, and with enough breathing room for the whole day to unfold naturally.

Jordyn's story had that balance from the beginning. We built the pre-mitzvah session around basketball and acting, met Lisa and Paul for family portraits before the service at Westchester Reform Temple, and ended the day at Coliseum with a celebration that felt full of movement from the first minute.

Act I

The Pre-Mitzvah Session

Jordyn loves basketball and acting, so the session started at House of Sports in New York and then shifted to the park next to the Scarsdale train station for a softer second look.

The Temple Morning

At 9:00 AM we met at Westchester Reform Temple, 255 Mamaroneck Road in Scarsdale, for family photographs before the service. Everything was finished by 10:00 AM, but there was still time for images that felt calm, meaningful, and rooted in family.

The Celebration

By 6:15 PM, the day had moved to Coliseum at 15 South Broadway in White Plains. The mood changed immediately: polished portraits, proud family frames, and then a room full of movement once the party really got going.
